Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club

Aesthetic

Collaborating with designer Tom Scutt, KGA infused the August Wilson Theatre with 1930s Berlin cabaret ambiance. The design features moody lighting, vintage-inspired décor, and atmospheric elements that blur the line between audience and performance, immersing patrons in the world of the Kit Kat Club. Unique design elements such as a central turntable stage, custom audience seating, immersive pre-show spaces, and reconfigured patron flow all come together to make this production a captivating and original audience experience.

Function

KGA led the transformation of the August Wilson Theatre from a traditional proscenium house into an in-the-round venue for the Broadway revival of Cabaret. Working in close collaboration with Charcoalblue and the production team, we executed a full redesign and build-out in just eight months from design through construction.
